Great is the Morning

Thank thee oh dear love
For the greatest you have gave
Little ole’ sweet me.

Great is the morning
When the little birds flutter
So I say a pray’r

for a house so warm
freedom to follow my dreams
enjoying the sun?

It’s the little things
I need to remember when
everything seems lost

I count my blessings, numbering each one that saves me from despair.
When I run out of numbers I start again
And each time I’m led right back to you.

Thank you my mother
You’ve been there like forever
Thus life is better

to breath oxygen
to feelsalty waves crashing
life is always grand

Honest reflection
On what I have versus don’t
I’m deeply grateful

Life as It Is

Well I can’t believe Thanksgiving is only 2 weeks away it really seems like time is flying by and I am spinning along with it. This Christmas is going to be awesome as Sunshine is all about Santa. Now when I say Santa will put you on the naughty list she shapes up. She is so excited for Santa.

I started shopping last night for Sunshine. I got her a Barbie with a pet dog and two beanie Care Bears that she doesn’t have. I already know I am getting the boyfriend Sims 2 as he mentioned several times that he would like to have it. I have 2 nephews to buy for and I am not sure what to get them as they are both 2, perhaps clothes and books because that is always my standby.

Other than I will be working 40 hours for the next 2 weeks so I may not be posting as often as I like but that is the way life goes. Just think I will be one of those Santas that will not be rushing out December 24, to finish up shopping. That is my goal anyway.

Have a great day!

A Break Before the Madness

I don’t know how much posting I will be doing in the next 2 weeks because I will be working 40 hours a week starting this Saturday through Black Friday. Of course, I am sure I will be working that weekend. I am lucky not to be working at 5 am but I am working at 7 am. Normally I don’t run the register but I can say one thing is for sure, there is no escaping it on that day. My best guess is I will be on it most of the day.

I am supposed to be part time but since Thanksgiving is coming my department (grocery) is extra busy thus the extra hours. I don’t see them being cut too much before Christmas because I will probably work 30 plus until Christmas. I don’t mind too much because it is extra Christmas money and Santa is starting this Thursday when I get paid.

Bad news is I am working Thanksgiving, I haven’t worked Thanksgiving in years. I think the last time I worked Thanksgiving was 6 years ago when I worked at a place in State College. I am only working until 3 so that is not too bad but still kind of crappy but what are you going to do?

Who wants to hear about work anymore? I will leave for another day or so. Have a nice night.

It is That Time of Year

Hello all, today we went looking for some work pants for me and was a very dissappointing trip to say the least but at least we got out and did something. In Altoona gas is $2.29 a gallon I don’t even remember when gas was the low where I live the gas is $2.37 still not too bad in my opinion. Of course, I would rather pay that than $3.

I have been working a lot and that is why I don’t post as often as I like or drop entre cards or any of that type of thing. Most of the time, I have to get up early and that is why I don’t drop too many entrecards. I try posting everyday but you know that is impossible sometimes.

The weather is strange as well. The other day it was warm like April and now it feels like it could snow outside. I do think it is just a bit too warm for that by a few degrees the thought is there.

Have a great day folks!

Coffee Coffee

If you don’t know me by now, then you don’t know I am a coffee fiend. I can drink pots and pots of coffee a day. I love Dunkin Donuts coffee but I really like WaWa coffee as well.  I did work as a barista once before and we sold a lot of coffee that was fair trade and/or organic.  Sure, fair trade might be more expensive but that is because the workers make better money.

Lot 44 Coffee is a coffee place located in Los Angeles that offers fair trade and organic coffee. What makes this coffee place different than others they roast and brew your cup of coffee the way you want, making the best cup of coffee around. Buying coffee from Lot 44, everyone wins. Check out this video and see what you think.

If I ever go on the Craig Ferguson Show I want to go to Lot 44! Have a nice day!

Boats at Eastport

Sorry that the picutre is kind of grainy but it was taken with a 35mm camera. In 2002 the boyfriend and I went to Eastport Maine. We arrived during the day and before my brother graduated from high school, we had some time to sight see ( if that is what you want to call it anyway). The day was sunny and the water and sky looked like twins. Here is a picture I snapped at the harbor. This is one of my favorite pictures from Eastport.

I just thought I would share a picture today since I don’t do that very often. Have a nice night!

Hello Once Again

Has it really been several days since I written? I am off of work today so that is why I am writing. I have some housework to do, plus some writing and of course blogging.  Even though I get done work before too late, I get home and I am just so tired I don’t feel like doing anything. For the last couple of days I check my email, clean out my spam and that is it.  I haven’t been to entrecard in a few days and I am sure things are piling up there.

I like my job don’t get me wrong but I am very busy, physically that is and I think that is why I am so tired when I come home. When I blog and blog quite a bit in one day I feel the same way but it takes me a lot longer to get mentally tired. Did I mention I learned the register? I have been on it a couple of time but they don’t call me  up there all the time so that is a good thing.

I just noticed I am typing with out looking at the keyboard, I never could do that before. Practise must make perfect. Well I have other blogs to post.

Have a wonderful night!

Halloween 08

Well Sunshine got rave reviews from her Halloween costume. I was going to make a fancy headress out a pair of devils horns and some ribbon. The only one they had at Wal-mart was a really fancy devils horns with sparkles and fur so I thought that was fancy enough.

The only problem was she hated the hopp skirt around her waist and she kept pulling out it down meaning she tripped over it quite a bit. So I held her dress up as she walked from house to house. We went to the same place we went last year but for some reason not many house were giving out candy. We found out there was a football game and that could be why no one was around. It is so weird that we start trick or treating while there is daylight.

I don’t know about you but trick or treating is always done in the dark. Anyway she made out pretty well and got a bountiful amount of candy.  Also, it snowed the other day but tonight it was slightly chilly as we walked around. I wish mother nature will make up her mind of what she wants to do.

Next holiday, Thanksgiving… Have a great Halloween night!

Our First Snow Day of 2008

A good 1.5 inches- 2 inches fell from last night until today. In fact it is still flurrying a little bit. I took Sunshine in the snow. Unfortunately, the snow boots she got last year didn’t fit and I threw them away and of course she didn’t have boots for the first snow fall so we weren’t out very long because her feet got cold. As we scrambled around looking for all our snow gear, she said matter of factly, “mommy we need to put up the Christmas tree so Santa can come.”

Children, relating the world to what they know as opposed to time that the rest of us all follow. I told her that we didn’t celebrate Halloween yet. Satisfied with the answer, we proceeded outside. She had to sample snow from different parts of the yard. She scooped up large balls of snow and ate them mentioning the snow tastes like sugar.

While we are standing in the yard and the snow is falling, she tells me there is a snow factory in the sky over there somewhere and that is where the snow comes from.  She said the factory makes it and then dumps it from the snow cloud. I suppose in her world, snow only comes from one cloud that the snow factory sits on. Snow always brings out the best in everyone especially the first real snow fall of the year.
